Description:

Seeking degree Engineer with Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Sciences and/or Materials Science as well as 5+ years of hands-on lab experience. Expertise in polymer chemistry, including epoxies, acrylates, polyimides, polyurethanes, and elastomers for use in engineering applications in the semiconductor, packaging electronics assembly, medical and optical markets. Extensive knowledge of analytical test methods/ equipment standard to the adhesives industry (i.e. DSC, TGA, DMA, TMA, thermal conductivity, Viscometer). Must be focused on applying theory to real life applications with hands on formulating approach. Should also have familiarity with statistical analysis software and Design of Experiments as well as strong computer skills. Synthesis and epoxy formulating experience are a plus

Responsibilities include carrying out intricate sample preparation techniques and creatively develop and carry out new, application specific test methods. Design and carry out thorough experimental plans with sufficient repeatability and reproducibility as well as source and evaluate new raw materials. Will work with Quality Control, Production and Process Engineering to troubleshoot existing formulations.
