PWB Design Engineer

Description:

Our client is seeking a self-motivated PWB designer to join their hardware engineering development team, designing digital and RF printed wiring boards in support of delivering mission critical solutions for a variety of customers at our Columbia, MD location.

Required Experience:
* 12+ years of experience in printed wiring board design and layout of analog, digital and RF circuits and a high school diploma.
* Altium experience and must be well versed in the features contained within the tool.
* Experience with IDF Files as input/export data for electronic and mechanical layout as well schematic capture experience.
* Working knowledge of electronics.

Desired Skills:
* Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Systems Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited 4-year college or university. 9+ years of experience required if degreed.
* Knowledge of IPC industry standards (IPC Designer Certification is a plus).
* Familiar/experience in HDI constructions and design rules as well as multi lamination design rules.
* Working knowledge of Omnify Product Lifecycle Management tool.
* Experience with MCAD interfaces and tools, SolidWorks software used on site.
* Experience with CAM tools.
* Knowledge of the Circuit Board Fabrication Process.
* Knowledge of Circuit Board Testing, IST, D Coupon.
* Self-motivated and work with minimal assistance once established.
