POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking RF and digital knowledgeable individuals who are passionate about monitoring and supporting product technical performance and maintaining product delivery schedules. The RF Test and Power Engineer will support the development, integration, and testing of production hardware. Activities will range from hands-on testing and troubleshooting; to analysis of failure trends, root cause/ corrective actions; and attending program meetings to report yields, problems, and corrective actions.

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of RF theory and power concepts, and a working knowledge of digital circuit design. They will have analytical skills to review requirements, test plans, and test scenarios; and the ability to effectively communicate across teams. They should be self-directed, organized, team oriented and have previous experience with MS Office tools. A DoD Secret level security clearance is required for this position.

• Advanced degree in Engineering (Power specific) or related STEM discipline

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Successful candidates will have experience with CNC Machining, Composite machining, writing inspection programs, CMM and hand measurement tools. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
• Set up, program, validate, and run CMM measurement routines for machined and composite components.
• Perform first-article inspections, in-process inspections, and audit measurements using CMM, on-machine probes, laser tracker, and hand measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, gage pins, etc.).
• Review and verify NC/CMM programs for accuracy and repeatability; act as an NC/CMM Programming Reviewer as needed.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T to create and follow inspection plans.
• Record and document measurement results, generate inspection reports, and communicate findings to manufacturing and engineering to support disposition and corrective actions.
• Perform routine calibration checks and basic verification of metrology equipment; coordinate formal calibration as required.
• Mentor and train operators/inspectors on CMM operation, probing best practices, and use of hand measuring instruments.
• Work under general direction and escalate complex issues to engineering or quality as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• 5+ years related inspection/CMM experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience programming and operating PC-DMIS or other CMM software.
• Experience working from CAD models to develop CMM routines.
• Experience with composite and metallic part inspection, including knowledge of composite layup and machining considerations.
• Previous experience mentoring or training other inspectors/operators.

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Structural Welder (Pulse Arc) for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Four years of NNS or naval shipyard experience as a first class Welder. Required Skills: 1.Multi-pass. All position fillet and butt welds using the following processes: SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) and GMAW-P (Pulse Arc Welding). 2. Heating - Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch. 3. Experience working in a physically demanding environment (shipboard, sub-assemblies, ladders, staging, etc.). 4. Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry. 5. Air Carbon Arc Gouging. 6. Ability to properly use fillet and butt weld gauges. Welding Qualification: All Welders will be required to pass all position, Multi-pass Butt Weld, Welder Qualification Tests prior to reporting for the first day of productive work. These tests will be in accordance with MIL-STD-248D Paragraph 5.3.3 and the following: A. All position (Horizontal (2G), Vertical (3G), and Overhead (4G)) SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) process. B. All position (Horizontal (2G), Vertical (3G), and Overhead (4G)) FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) process. C. Horizontal (2G) position GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) process. D. All position (Horizontal (2G), Vertical (3G), and Overhead (4G)) GMAW-P (Pulse Arc Welding) process. E. Air Carbon Arc Gouging proficiency test. The Welding School will administer the following tests: 1. All Welding Qualification Tests in "A" (6 hours), "B" (12 hours), "C" (4 hours) above. 2. Visual Inspection of Welds Level I (4 hours). 3. Welders Vision Test (5 minutes). 4. Air Carbon Arc Gouging Proficiency Test (1 hour). Prior to performing work at Newport News all Welders must successfully pass, without training, the above tests at the Newport News welding school.
