Role Overview 

As a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing operations and advancing automation strategies. Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing standards, specifications, and best practices  

  • Experience with automation, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 initiatives  

  • Proficiency with computer systems and engineering tools

About the Role 
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a
Mechanical Engineer who will play a key role in designing and developing advanced mechanical systems for motors and electromechanical products. This is a hands-on, high-impact position offering full lifecycle ownership—from concept through production—supporting mission-critical aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. Your work will directly influence performance, reliability, and innovation in a high-reliability engineering environment. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Design and model mechanical components and assemblies, including motors, actuators, geartrains, shafts, housings, and interfaces 

  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, specifications, BOMs, and tolerance schemes 

  • Perform material and finish selection, structural and stress analysis, and tolerance stack-up analysis 

  • Design for durability, manufacturability, assembly, and long-term reliability 

  • Contribute to geartrain systems, bearing selection, sealing approaches, and lubrication strategies 

  • Support FMEA, MTBF/reliability analysis, and continuous design improvement efforts 

  • Participate in prototype builds, qualification and environmental testing, and root-cause investigations 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, quality, and test engineering 

  • Interface directly with customers to resolve technical challenges and refine product requirements 

  • Support pilot builds, production transition, sustaining engineering, and product enhancements

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 

  • 5–7 years of experience in electromechanical actuator or high-reliability product design

  • Experience supporting full product lifecycle (concept through release and sustaining engineering)

As a Project Manager IV, you will own the successful delivery of technical energy projects from post‑sale through execution and closeout. In this role, you’ll support in-service airline fleets by developing high-quality repair solutions for aircraft structures. What You’ll Do 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

  • Develop structural repair solutions for metallic and non-metallic aircraft components

What You’ll Do




  • Lay out, fabricate, and assemble standard and complex jigs, fixtures, and tooling systems
  • Work with compound angles and intricate contours, maintaining tight tolerances across multiple planes
  • Interpret and execute tool design drawings or create your own innovative solutions
  • Set up and operate optical instruments to verify alignment, fit, and adjustment

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Aircraft Interior Installation: Safely remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors, including galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels.

  • Support and Adaptability: Assist technicians with aircraft maintenance requirements and adapt to sudden schedule changes. 

  • Process Improvement: Work with lead and higher-skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma and other techniques. 

 

Qualifications: 

Required: 

  • High School Diploma or GED. 

  • 2 years of applicable installation, fabrication, or related experience. 

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

What You’ll Do
