Assembler – Level 4

Description:
Location: Redmond, WA
Rate: $30.00 - $33.50/HR
Duration: 3 Month W2 Contract
Shift: Not Specified
Overtime: Possible

Duties:
45% - Perform assembly duties: Set up and operate high pressure pneumatic systems. Perform proof and leak tests, spot welding, soldering, electrical fabrication and potting. Apply adhesive bonding and mechanical fastener torqueing. Part marking, handling and packaging. Maintain and support clean work stations. Duties may be performed in a controlled cleanroom environment.
45% - Provide support to the Assembly area: Work with area personnel and the calibration lab to schedule the periodic calibration of assembly area equipment and tools. Deliver tools and equipment to the calibration lab as required by schedule. Monitor calibration completion and return of equipment/tools to the production area. Conduct weekly inventory of floor stocked materials and supplies. Issue purchase requests and facilitate ordering of materials to assure an adequate supply that meets production needs. Coordinate movement of parts/assemblies within the Assembly areas, Test Facilities, and Shipping/Receiving departments. Update supervisors with status on above items. Perform expediting duties between the Assembly area and various company departments as required on a daily basis by area supervision.
10% - Other duties as assigned including mentoring of more junior assemblers, etc.


Skills:
Required:
- Pressure testing experience, mechanical and electrical assembly and electrical testing.
- Proven ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures needed.
- Requires the ability and willingness to work other shifts and overtime as necessary.
- Must be able to be trained and become certified in cleanroom access within the first 3 months of employment.
- Must have the ability and willingness to work in a cleanroom/confined area for extended periods and to abide by clean room procedures (for example, makeup, fingernail polish, large jewelry are prohibited; must wear clean room garments including hair and beard covers at all times, etc).

Desired:
- Knowledge of propulsion systems

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel items. The employee is regularly expected to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Education:
- Requires a high school diploma (or equivalence) and six (6) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
