Design Engineer - Turbomachinery

Description:
A Design Engineer job in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is currently available at Belcan. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in the engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Design Engineer within the aerospace industry.

Design Engineer job duties:
* Candidates will be involved in completing various design tasks, such as conceptual design of rotating and static turbomachinery components, conceptual design of rocket engine components, implementing process and productivity improvements for existing hardware, reviewing/checking engineering drawings, and completing investigations into existing hardware field issues. Candidates are expected to mentor younger engineers, manage the daily/weekly activities of those on their team, and report status to technical leads and project managers.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited institution.
* 2+ years of design experience within the aerospace industry.
* Candidate must have some experience with rotating and static turbomachinery components and/or rocket engine components.
* Must know how to read and interpret hardware blueprints and have a good understanding of GD&T.
* Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
