Job Description:
Designs, develops, and tests a variety of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight. Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests.

Client is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer to support our Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) Program. This program is critical to the success of US service men and women deployed throughout the world. Our mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its war fighters with the best possible systems and equipment anywhere in the world. The team is focused mainly on modifying existing aircraft and integrating modified components into various platforms based on customer specifications. As an entry level Aeronautical Engineer you will work as part of an engineering team. Your job will be to analyze and write substantiation documentation based on customer requirements using applicable military specifications, internal structural manuals and text similar to Analysis and Design of Flight Vehicle Structures, Bruhn. The primary tool used for Analysis is ANSYS and FEMAP for Finite Element Modeling (FEM).

MATHCAD and MATLAB are also used for 'hand' calculations. You will work with mechanical design teams to develop working models for integration of these components. Upon design completion, you will be expected to support the installation/integration of your analysis by providing support to the mechanic workforce as required.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters in Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Mechanics from an accredited University.

Desired skills:
Experience with a FEM creation using ANSYS, NASTRAN or similar program. Experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Demonstrated previous success working in a team based environment to meet objectives. MRB experience with Hangar support

Typical Minimums:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.

Level: Level 2: BS+3-5 YRS or MS+0-3 YRS
Pay Rate: $23.00 - $65.00 Hourly
