Tooling Design Engineer

Description:
General Summary:
• Seeking a Tooling Design Engineer who’s passionate about precision, creativity, and collaboration to help design the tools that bring company aircraft to life. As a Tooling Design Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our production process, designing and developing tooling solutions that meet rigorous engineering and manufacturing standards. You’ll collaborate across departments and with external suppliers to ensure every tool is optimized for performance, safety, and efficiency. The perspective candidate should be an experienced professional with knowledge of engineering principles, aircraft tooling, aircraft manufacturing processes and ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review tooling requests, engineering models, and drawings to develop new or modified tooling designs.
• Create innovative tooling concepts to support new engineering developments.
• Follows existing procedures utilizing the Honda Aircraft Company tooling manual to develop 3D models and 2D drawings to design production tooling to support program requirements.
• Develops and writes tooling usage guidelines for tooling functionality.
• Perform peer reviews and design checks to validate tooling accuracy, functionality, and compliance with standards.
• Lead internal and external design reviews to ensure compliance with engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Recommend improvements to tooling design processes and philosophies.

Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:
• Associates degree in technical field (Bachelor’s preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in aircraft tooling design. (Automotive equipment/tooling experience also considered)
• Proficient in Catia (V5)
• ASME GDTP (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Professional) Certificate preferred.
• Machining/Fabrication experience and/or CNC programing experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of aircraft manufacturing processes.
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate cross-functional design reviews.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
• Teamcenter PLM experience a plus.

Sr. Stress Engineer

Description:
Experienced senior/lead aerospace stress engineer with significant experience in the analysis, certification and testing of metallic and composite primary structure.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as subject matter expert stress engineer responsible for metallic primary structure.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a group of contract and associate stress engineers working on certification, analysis and testing.
• Experience writing certification stress reports, working with FAA DER's and structural testing needed.
• Applicant must be competent in both classic hand analysis (Bruhn, Peery, Roark, ESDU) methods as well as FEA.
• Must also have the ability to explain and present analysis and assumptions in a rational manner.
• Must be able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment where you will be expected to take ownership of assigned projects and see them through to completion.

Quality Control Inspection Tech

Description:
Position Summary:
• Our QC Inspector position performs inspections or testing to ensure conformity with the type design engineering data. They document their results, identify defects and report when instances of poor quality items increase. Quality Control Inspectors safely discard or destroy items that don’t meet the necessary specifications to prevent unsatisfactory inventory from reaching production. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that all products meet our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards. The ideal candidate has keen attention to detail, and is proficient in using precision dimensional inspection equipment including, but not limited to, calipers and micrometers.
• Provide a high level summary of your team’s position.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
• Perform Quality Control inspections & testing per inspection work instructions in an Aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Retrieval and interpretation of technical documents
• Interpret technical documents and develop inspection work instructions
• Perform First Article Inspections per AS9102.
• Complete required documentation and enter into ERP system, create inspection reports as needed
• Communicate technical requirements to shop personnel
• Assign traceability to incoming raw material, quarantine, and scrap components
• Prioritize workflow

Minimum Qualifications we are seeking (your Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities):

• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing operations
• Working knowledge of GD&T
• Experience performing dimensional inspections using standard precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gage blocks
• Proficient in the use of computer applications such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and/or web based software.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently, but function as a team player

Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you (preferred qualifications):
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5
• Two or four year degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Working knowledge of CAD software including Catia, or Onshape.
• Two or more years of experience in Quality Control in Aerospace
• Certification from American Society for Quality (ASQ)
• Experience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma
• Experience in at least one form of non-destructive inspections such as Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as AS9100
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and Aerospace conformity requirements
• Experienced interfacing with Business Enterprise Systems such as Plex.
• Experience with Inspection software such as InspectionXpert, NetInspect, or equivalent reporting software
• Experience working with a manufacturing team to develop new processes.

The Product Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality processes throughout the product lifecycle—from design and development to production and field operations. This role ensures that our electric aviation products meet rigorous safety, regulatory, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in aerospace or high-reliability industries, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for advancing clean aviation technology.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes for product development and manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Airworthiness, Program Operations, and Supply Chain teams to identify and mitigate quality risks.
• Perform root cause analysis, failure investigations, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for product issues.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA) and industry best practices.
• Establish and monitor key quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Review design changes, engineering specifications, and test plans for quality implications.
• Participate in product testing, validation, and verification to confirm conformance to requirements.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts to address complex product or process issues.
• Provide training and guidance on quality standards, tools, and methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications: (your Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities):
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace, aviation, or high-reliability manufacturing environments,
• preferably in the aviation or defense industries.
• Proven experience in program-level quality engineering, risk management, and CAPA processes.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, 8D, root cause analysis, SPC).
• Proficient with statistical tools, root cause analysis methods, and quality management software.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and evolving environment.

Above and Beyond Qualifications: (preferred qualifications):
• Experience with composite materials, electric propulsion systems, battery technology, or aviation sub-systems.
• Familiarity with aviation standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100, FAA/EASA guidelines).
• Six Sigma or Lean certification.
• APQP and PPAP expertise
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for reliability (DFR) principles.
