Description:
Key Responsibilities 

Perform complex technical studies and analyze existing or proposed operations. 

Prepare detailed reports recommending equipment, tooling, manufacturing methods, and sequence of operations. 

Author detailed work instructions to optimize process efficiency and achieve zero-defect opportunities in collaboration with Operations Engineering.

Under moderate supervision, you will perform one or more of the following composite part manufacturing functions: lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave, trimming, and/or repair, in a production environment. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Manufacture composite aircraft parts to meet manufacturing specifications, in a team oriented work environment. 

  • Demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements of the Manufacturing Competencies at the appropriate level in the Employee Effectiveness Review. 

  • Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations. 

  • Check all work and ensure a defect free assembly prior to inspection. 

  • Maintain and use all logs and records. Example: MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, DR/DI, etc. 

  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company FOD and 5S programs, and comply with all safety regulations. 

  • Support Lean activities. 

 

Other Requirements: 

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position. 

  • Must be able to work any shift. 

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.  

  • Basic computer skills.  

  • One (1) year related composite experience.  

  • Ability to work with composite resins and materials.  

  • Requires ability to read a interpret blueprints.  

  • Read and interpret 6" scale.

About the Role

As Senior Advisor, Ethics & Compliance – Export Control, you will lead and oversee export control and sanctions compliance activities across global aviation operations. What You’ll Do Day to Day

  • Manage compliance with U.S. export control regulations and sanctions, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC, for worldwide aviation-related activities

  • Support and advise on Canadian and EU/UK export control regulations

  • Oversee export control compliance related to aircraft parts and services

  • Provide guidance and collaboration with export control designated officials across multiple global sites

  • Lead and support the development and implementation of export control policies, procedures, and governance frameworks

  • Review, prepare, submit, and manage export licenses and authorizations with U.S. government agencies (DDTC, BIS, OFAC)

  • Approve transactions involving license exemptions and exceptions

  • Ensure proper application, implementation, and recordkeeping for licenses, agreements, classifications, and registrations

  • Conduct internal audits to verify ongoing compliance

  • Perform and review denied party screenings

  • Classify hardware, software, and technology under applicable export control regulations

Required & Preferred Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in compliance or a related field within the aerospace and defense sector

  • Deep expertise in EAR and ITAR regulations, including application within government contracts

  • Thorough understanding of aviation export controls and sanctions

  • Proven ability to interpret complex regulations and contract terms

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into clear insights and recommendations

  • Advanced proficiency with tools such as SAP, Salesforce, Excel, and SharePoint

  • Experience with trade compliance software and integration with IT systems

What You’ll Do

CPSR Audit Preparedness

  • Conduct detailed gap analyses against DCMA CPSR checklists, FAR 44.3, and DFARS 244.3

  • Develop and maintain CPSR readiness documentation, including policies, procedures, and audit trails

  • Lead quarterly mock audits and self-assessments to ensure full compliance

  • Train procurement teams on CPSR best practices, including consent to subcontract and unauthorized commitment prevention

CPSR Audit Execution

  • Serve as primary liaison to DCMA Administrative Contracting Officers (ACOs)

  • Coordinate on-site/virtual audit walkthroughs, document submissions, and evidence gathering

  • Develop and track Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to closure within 90 days

  • Analyze audit results and implement process improvements

Global Supply Chain Compliance

  • Maintain and update a Global Compliance Matrix across 20+ countries

  • Conduct annual regulatory reviews and regional risk assessments

  • Support cross-border subcontract approvals and export control compliance

Ongoing Compliance Leadership

  • Monitor regulatory updates (CMMC 2.0, NIST SP 800-171)

  • Ensure CPSR-compliant subcontracting for programs exceeding $50M annually

  • Generate executive compliance reports

  • Support ISO 9001/AS9100 certifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Aerospace & Defense supply chain

  • 5+ years in A&D supply chain compliance, including 3+ years leading CPSR audit preparedness and execution

  • Proven successful CPSR audit outcomes (e.g., “Approved” rating)

  • CPSR subject matter expertise

  • Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel for audit metrics and reporting)

What You’ll Do (Day to Day Responsibilities)

  • Review and approve system, software, and test requirements, design documents, verification activities, and test procedures.

Your Impact

What You’ll Do

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Performing scheduled inspections to ensure workmanship meets industry standards and complies with Manufacturing (MFG) Work Instructions

  • Conducting preliminary, in-progress, and final inspections on all processed articles

  • Reviewing manufacturing records, work orders, and forms for completeness and accuracy prior to release for return to service

  • Inspecting for defects, damage, identification, and dimensional accuracy using a variety of measurement tools and inspection techniques

  • Following and documenting complex inspection processes, entering inspection results and quality data accurately

  • Applying appropriate inspection methods to determine quality and airworthiness in alignment with strict safety protocols

  • Communicating inspection results and acceptance criteria clearly with engineering, management, and production teams

  • Generating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in TipQA and/or Apriso

  • Performing receiving inspections on incoming materials as required

  • Ensuring proper tagging, identification, quarantine, and disposition of rejected or non-repairable parts

  • Leading or supporting technical investigations and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities

  • Supporting quality projects and assisting the Quality Control Supervisor with departmental initiatives

  • Providing technical guidance and training to other Quality Inspectors

  • Maintaining strict Foreign Object Debris (FOD) awareness and prevention

  • Actively participating in safety programs, investigations, and hazard reporting

  • Working collaboratively across teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time execution


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in aircraft inspection, including aerospace parts and components

  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), or airline environment

  • Strong knowledge of inspection standards, techniques, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements

  • Ability to read, interpret, and evaluate manufacturing documentation and work instructions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

  • Proven commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications

  • Senior-level inspection experience supporting flight hardware or flying assets

In this hands-on role, you’ll be a critical contributor to the bonding, assembly, and structural integrity of next-generation spaceship airframes. Your craftsmanship will directly influence performance, safety, and mission success—on the ground and beyond.


What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

  • Assemble composite and metallic parts and assemblies of varying complexity and size

  • Set up assembly fixturing and perform drilling, fay sealing, trimming, fitting, and fastener installation

  • Safely operate shop tools and machinery including drills, die grinders, calipers, and precision measurement tools

  • Drill a wide range of hole sizes in composite, metal, and mixed-material stack-ups

  • Install and work with multiple fastener types such as Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok, and Composi-Lok

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Upholstery Technician to support the design, fabrication, and installation of premium aircraft interiors. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, quality, and mentorship. 

 

About the Role 

As an Upholstery Technician, you will work independently to fabricate and install upholstery and trim components for aircraft interiors while meeting strict safety, quality, and productivity standards. You will also support shop leadership by assisting with project oversight, mentoring technicians, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. 

Your work will have a direct impact on the comfort, appearance, and performance of aircraft delivered to customers worldwide. 

 
 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Fabricate and install seat covers, curtains, and interior assemblies and subassemblies 

  • Interpret engineering drawings and material specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements 

  • Sew, fabricate, and install covers for all aircraft interior panel styles 

  • Cut and install advanced custom carpets with unique patterns 

  • Use the Corridor material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off completed work 

  • Accept Lead responsibilities when required, overseeing projects and delegating tasks 

  • Conduct and support safety audits and ensure compliance with safety, 5S, and housekeeping standards 

  • Assist in maintaining shop equipment and associated JSAs 

  • Mentor and train lesser-skilled technicians and monitor work for quality and productivity 

  • Collaborate with Leads and senior technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma tools 

  • Perform other duties as assigned 

 
 

Required Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED 

  • Minimum of 4 years of upholstery experience, including: 

  • At least 2 years of aircraft upholstery experience, or 

  • 6 years of commercial upholstery experience 

  • Advanced knowledge of upholstery and sewing processes and materials 

  • Advanced carpet knowledge, including custom carpet installation 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation 

  • Computer literacy 

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English 

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift 

 
 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Working knowledge of inspection and process specifications and terminology 

  • Experience mentoring or leading other technicians 

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement tools

·         Maintain and use all logs and records. Example: MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, DR/DI, etc.

·         Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company FOD and 5S programs, and comply with all safety regulations.

·         Support Lean activities.
