Role Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Material Verification: Review blueprints and product specifications to ensure the correct material is used in builds per configuration and SAP validation.

  • Inventory Management: Adjust amounts for existing inventory and orders where inventory has been consumed.

  • System Understanding: Utilize MES systems, Teamcenter, and SAP for material management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Inventory Accuracy: Perform daily cycle counts and verify item quantities and conditions.

  • Shipping & Receiving: Support order pulling and shipping/receiving tasks as needed.

  • Physical Demands: Stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Required:

  • Assists in installations, modifications, and the fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, engineering drawings.

  • Completes tasks within allotted time frame.
  • Ensures that work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Checks all work and ensures a defective free assembly prior to final inspection.
  • Complies with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program and all safety regulations.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
 
Additional Functions:
  • Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities (e.g YIAW, Kaizen events, etc.) .

 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications

  • Assemble and install aircraft components and subassemblies to quality standards

  • Operate manual and automated tools for drilling, sealing, inserting fasteners, painting, varnishing, and countersinking

  • Perform functional checks, pickup work, rework, and change incorporations

  • Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality

  • Move parts, tools, and assemblies within the shop using appropriate equipment

  • Document discrepancies and initiate corrective actions

  • Participate in inspection and cross-training to become SIA qualified

  • Support and mentor other technicians to drive continuous workflow

  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and total preventative maintenance duties


 What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Ability to work any assigned shift and weekends/overtime as needed

  • Physically able to stand for full 8-hour shifts

  • Demonstrated ability to read technical documents and work with precision tools

  • Must be local or able to relocate (local candidates strongly preferred)

  • $110/week per diem for qualified non-local candidates (100+ miles from site)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop detailed mechanical estimates from concept through completion for complex field and fabrication scopes

    • Collaborate with procurement, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to gather cost data and resolve estimate details

    • Manage centralized cost estimating databases and implement historical data for pricing consistency

    • Analyze completed projects and cost trends to identify gaps and optimize future estimating approaches

    • Lead strategy sessions and schedule management for estimation deliverables

    • Review and validate scopes of work, subcontractor quotes, labor units, and project schedules

    • Present finalized estimates to internal leadership and external clients

    Required Qualifications

      What You’ll Do

        Position Purpose:
        The Final Line Mechanic I is responsible for installing parts and components, such as aircraft structure parts, systems lines, cables, and associated hardware. This role ensures that all installations meet the required specifications, functionality, and quality standards through final inspection. The mechanic will work in a team-oriented environment, utilizing tools, equipment, and technical knowledge to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
          
        Essential Functions:
        • Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structure parts and system components. Rig control cables, sectors, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear and doors, engines, cowls, aircraft entry doors and associated parts and hardware.
        • Remove and replace linkage, sectors, components, cut and fit system lines and associated hardware necessary to facilitate and perform basic repairs.
        • Responsible for quality and efficiency of all installations; ensure all parts/assembly meet requirements. Perform necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity.
        • Install systems lines, valves, ducts and associated parts and hardware. Work to ensure a leak free system.
        • Use a variety of tools and equipment, including permaswage pumps, dies, line cutting tools, wrenches, checking tools, witness gauges, etc. and tools to successfully complete component and perform minor structure installation.
        • Remove and replace, cut and fit systems lines, panels and structural components and associated hardware necessary to facilitate and perform basic repairs.
        • Update and sign required logs and records as required.
        • Check own work to ensure a defect free installation prior to final inspection.
        • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company FOD and 5S programs and comply with all safety regulations.
        • Demonstrate Company Manufacturing competencies in the employee effectiveness review.
        • Maintain and use all logs and records such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, etc.
        • Support continuous improvement processes as assigned.
        *In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required. *
         
        Other Requirements:
        • Solumina and Smarteam experience preferred.
        • Requires ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams and use all tools required. to do the job.
        • Ability to perform work such as basic drilling, reaming, ship fitting parts, etc.
        • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas and lift up to 50 lbs.
         
        Education and Experience Requirements:
        • High School Diploma or GED required.
        • 1 year aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience such as auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.
        • A&P license may offset the one year of experience required.
        • Basic knowledge of hand tools, drill motors, calipers etc.

        Equipment & Tool Engineer

        PDS TECH is currently looking for an Equipment and Tool Engineer for our Aerospace client in Auburn, WA.

        This role involves reviewing electrical schematics, control panel designs, and troubleshooting technical issues.

        Will be out on the production floor, interacting with mechanics, safety, and equipment services, and directly supporting the production system.

        Job Type: 12 months+ contract assignment 
        Schedule: 
        Monday to Friday; First Shift 7AM-3:30PM
        Pay Rate:
         $43 to $48 per hour
        Desired Skills/Experience include an Electrical Engineering degree and 2+ years project management experience supporting complex technical projects, evaluating/selecting equipment solutions, and assessing electrical system requirements. 1 or more years of experience with programming languages such as Java and SQL.         The Upholstery Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for fabricating and installing upholstery, cover panels, and making simple patterns for aircraft interiors. Under moderate supervision, the individual will work with design and engineering drawings, along with aircraft specifications, to ensure high-quality interior installations. This role provides opportunities for hands-on training and skill development in the upholstery and carpet trades within the aerospace industry.
         
        Essential Functions:
        • Perform technical upholstery functions within design, customer, FAA, and Company specifications. Specific installation and trim tasks are to be completed in compliance with work order instructions and specifications.
        • Fit panels and windows, cabin head liners, upper sidewalls, lower side panels, hatch panels, windows, cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, fabricate various metal parts, and covering and installation of panels.
        • Create carpet patterns per design drawings and complete installation. .
        • Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work.
         
        Other Requirements:
        • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand proficiently the English language.
        • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
        • Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math computations.
        • Must be computer literate.
        • Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift.
          
        Education and Experience Requirements:
        • High School Diploma or GED required.
        • Experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers and/or various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades is preferred.

        What You’ll Do:
        • Perform Ultrasonic Testing (A-Scan and Thickness) to evaluate aerospace materials without causing damage
        • Set up, standardize, and operate NDI equipment to inspect components in compliance with engineering specifications
        • Interpret and evaluate inspection results for acceptance or rejection and document findings
        • Develop and refine inspection techniques from approved procedures for final approval
        • Conduct system performance checks in accordance with industry standards
        • Provide guidance, supervision, and training to trainees and lower-level technicians
        • Perform audit surveillance on NDI processes and document any non-conformances
        • Interpret and apply industry codes, standards, and contractual requirements
