As an RM&SH Engineer, you will be a key contributor throughout the design, test, and sustainment lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
Analyzing customer requirements and developing reliability engineering programs to meet or exceed objectives

Evaluating system usage profiles and calculating cumulative reliability impacts at the system and component level
Conducting Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and developing mathematical models to assess risk

Level 4 experience: typically 9+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent education/experience combination)
Experience with RM&SH principles, including requirements, predictions, and performance analysis
Experience with Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS)
Experience performing failure analysis
Strong ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and organizational levels

About the Role

As a Senior Structural Design Engineer at PDS Tech Commercial, you’ll play a critical role in designing and implementing structural solutions for advanced business jets and specialized mission platforms. Your expertise will help resolve complex build issues, support flight test programs, and deliver engineering excellence that shapes the future of aviation.
Investigate design-build issues and develop structural engineering and instrumentation installation solutions.
Author temporary engineering instructions to resolve build issues promptly.
Disposition aircraft non-conformances and provide rework instructions (MRB).
Collaborate with engineering disciplines, Quality Assurance, and manufacturing teams to resolve drawing and build discrepancies.
Design and release structural and systems installations for Special Missions Engineering.
Define structural special instructions or restrictions for flight test and mission-critical modifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years of industry experience.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliance).
Expertise in Special Missions or Aftermarket modifications.
Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
Minimum 15,000 hours on CATIA V5 with proficiency in:
Assembly Design
Part Design (Boolean Operations)
Aerospace Sheetmetal
Tubing Design
Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office tools.
Experience with Kinematics and Electrical Harness Routing in CATIA V5.
Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM experience.
Background in aircraft manufacturing or modification programs.
