PDS Tech Commercial is seeking skilled and detail-driven Inspectors to support critical quality operations at a leading aerospace manufacturing facility in Kinston, NC. This is a full-time, contract opportunity for individuals who take pride in accuracy, have experience in aviation manufacturing, and want to make a measurable impact on products that fly across the globe.
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS AVIATION QUALITY EXPERIENCE
As a Quality Inspector, you’ll be the gatekeeper of product integrity—verifying mechanical and electromechanical components through visual and dimensional inspection to ensure they meet strict specifications and standards. Your work directly contributes to the safety, functionality, and excellence of aerospace components used in high-performance aircraft.
Shift Options:
2nd and 3rd Shift Available
Pay Range: $33–$36/hour (based on experience)
Inspect in-process and completed parts and assemblies using precision tools (micrometers, scales, gauges, etc.).
Evaluate products for structural flaws, internal defects, and conformity to blueprints, specifications, and drawings.
Review re-drawings and perform thorough visual/dimensional checks at HAAS machines.
Identify and document non-conformances with hardware, software, assemblies, or materials.
Conduct inspections on vendor/subcontractor parts and in final assembly/FAI environments.
Support quality documentation and maintain accurate inspection records.
Perform line clearances to prevent cross-contamination between product lots.
Cross-train to support other manufacturing operations, including assembly.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing or similar high-precision industries.
Strong understanding of aviation manufacturing practices.
Proficient with measurement tools and interpreting technical drawings.
Comfortable with 100% visual and dimensional inspection of formed and machined parts.
Familiarity with HAAS machining inspection processes.
Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift in a fast-paced environment.
Prior work in both Assembly and First Article Inspection (FAI) settings.
Experience working with statistical process controls or inspection software tools.
