The team is seeking an Electrical Component, Assembly, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Engineer (Senior Level) to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. The roles and responsibilities described below spans the entire production cycle of the program.

Electrical/Component and Assembly Responsibilities:
Applies engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical components in evaluation new components for assembly and subassembly design
Directly support Sub-contractors and Suppliers to ensure their electronic components are qualified for company usage per the contract and the Parts Management Plan.
Use you understanding of Aircraft and Weapons design/requirements to recommend new and Alternate electrical components for new product development and legacy programs
Represent Company at Electrical and Electronic Component National Committees
Uses Project Management tools to meet cost, technical performance and schedule requirements.
Incorporates Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas.
Leads others, establishes work statement, defines strategies and/or provides consultation with peers while keeping management informed.

Electrical Obsolescence and DMSMS Responsibilities:
Conduct obsolescence forecasting and monitoring using Component Monitoring and Surveillance Tools, Predictive Obsolescence Systems, OEM/Supplier surveys, etc
Monitor Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) alerts and provide obsolescence status report to the programs and government customers (Navy, Air Force, DoE, etc.)
Develop obsolescence mitigation resolution options and business case analyses supporting the recommendations.
Prepare presentation material to communicate DMSMS Case issues and proposed resolutions to customers and programs
Lead periodic DMS meetings with internal and external DoD and Industry Customers on Company STL programs
Apply understanding of Aircraft and Weapons design/requirements to recommend new and Alternate electrical components for new product development and legacy programs
Represent St. Louis site/programs at company enterprise DMS meetings
Development of technical and cost proposals
Develop Counterfeiting Testing to define probability of electrical component being counterfeit
Review draft program Statements of Work and Contract Deliverables, recommending wording for company tasks
Review and assist in the implementation of DoD Parts Management program requirements, ensuring the integrity and appropriate use of parts per application requirements
Maintain and implement improvements in software tools used to support DMSMS activities
Assist programs in identifying and managing obsolescence risks
Required skills/experience:
1. MUST have a BS Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (No “EE Technology” Degrees please!)
2. Experience/insight with one or more of the following: Obsolescence Management, DMS, Parts Management, managing Bills of Material (BOMs), researching Alternate components.
3. Someone who worked in an Obsolescence Management / DMSMS / Component Engineering position where this was a key element of their primary responsibilities for 5 or more years.

Software Engineer 3 - 377259

Company is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer to support the Training Systems – Battlespace Simulation Management (BSM) Visual Systems Software Team in Hazelwood, MO. This position contributes to the development and sustainment of next-generation training technologies for military pilot training, including advanced visualization systems like Align and Cal (AnC) and Frame Sync Controller (FSC) applications used by high fidelity training systems. The engineer will participate in full-lifecycle software development including requirements analysis, system and software design, implementation, testing, and integration. The position emphasizes real-time 3D rendering, graphics system integration, and software optimization for pilot training environments.

This role is hands-on and collaborative, operating within a dynamic Agile team to deliver high-quality software products aligned with customer needs and Company standards.

BSM is responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of training devices for a wide variety of commercial and military aircraft - everything from F-15 fighter jets to Apache attack helicopters, and even NASA's Starliner spacecraft. Software engineers on our team are responsible for all phases of the software lifecycle, including architecture, design, implementation and test. They are also directly involved in planning their own work, as part of the agile methodology, with a focus on technical excellence.

The BSM team is a large software development team comprised of several smaller agile teams, some with specialized skills. Our backlog includes everything from new feature development using cutting-edge technology to maintenance of legacy software baselines. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working in an often fast-paced environment within a two-week "sprint" schedule.

Position Responsibilities
• Designs, architects, and develops simulation models, simulation visualizations, virtual environments/platforms, and frameworks to enhance test performance, safety, and durability of software and hardware systems throughout the entire product lifecycle.

The Mechanical Engineer I is responsible for the mechanical design and development of distribution transformers in accordance with IEEE, CSA, and customer specifications. This role requires a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles related to structural and thermal requirements unique to transformer applications. Responsibilities include preparing, validating, and reviewing detailed designs, calculations, and documentation that comply with applicable standards and manufacturing constraints.
Key Responsibilities



Design and Development

• Design, develop, and review mechanical specifications for distribution transformers, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

• Develop mechanical designs for transformer components including tanks, core-coil frame assemblies, cooling systems, and lifting/handling features.

• Verify bushing locations, terminal clearances, and overall component and accessory layouts for correct fit and functionality.

• Utilize engineering software (AutoCAD, SolidEdge, or proprietary transformer design tools) for mechanical design, modeling, and analysis.

• Prepare and review manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and 3D CAD models.

• Perform design tasks supporting product development and improvement initiatives to maintain competitiveness of company products.



Standards and Compliance

• Interpret and apply applicable industry standards (IEEE, ASTM, CSA) to ensure compliance with structural, thermal, and safety requirements.

• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams, including weld specifications, component/material selection, and fit-up requirements to optimize performance, efficiency, and cost.

• Participate in process-improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and overall output quality.



Qualifications



Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.



Experience

• 5+ years of experience in design engineering of electrical distribution equipment, preferably within a transformer manufacturing environment.



Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency with engineering design and analysis tools (CAD, FEA, simulation software) as well as productivity and ERP systems.

• Strong knowledge of distribution transformer design, associated manufacturing processes, and applicable industry standards (ANSI, ASTM, IEEE, CSA).

The Company Defense and Space Air Dominance Team is seeking a Senior (Level 4) F/A-18 Systems Electrical Design Engineer to design System Wiring Diagrams and on the F/A-18 in support of current production and future retrofit programs for our team located in Berkeley, MO.

This position reports to the Electrical Platforms Systems manager under the Air Dominance division. Lead and advise major applicant (ATC) certification efforts for Company Commercial Aircraft development and production programs responsible for Main Engines, Fuel Systems, and APUs safety and compliance. The Senior Electrical Engineer plays a key role in the design and development of distribution transformers in accordance with IEEE, CSA, DOE, and customer specifications. Design & Development

• Design, develop, and review electrical specifications for distribution transformers, ensuring compliance with IEEE, CSA, DOE, and customer requirements.

• Develop and review electrical designs including core type and sizing, coil designs, switch and tap-selector components, and connections for custom and non-standard configurations.

• Perform advanced electrical calculations, including impedance, losses, efficiency, insulation coordination, fuse coordination, and short-circuit strength.
