Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) at the system level is required
• Strong understanding of Avionics, aircraft Systems, and Subsystems.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience with full development cycles, Avionics certification, and a strong understanding of lifecycle activities and deliverables for Avionics programs.
• Experience working within regulatory environments, including DO-254, DO-160, DO-178B/C, DO-297, ARP4754A, and FAA/TCCA/EASA standards.

Job Description
The main function of a hardware Electrical-Mechanical Designer position is responsible for modeling and drawing generation of a wide range of mechanical hardware and components designed for use in elevator systems and Creo Cable and E3 Zuken WD. The candidate should not only be adept at handling typical design tasks (modeling and detailing) but must be able to effectively communicate cross functionally.
Job Responsibilities:
•Provide design support to internal and external customers
•Modify and develop new component solutions to increase product robustness
•Support resolution of engineering issues
•Develop component and system level models and drawings
•Support cost reduction efforts
•Support FTB reduction
•Support Engineers with 3D studies and prototyping
•Support engineering CN process
•Support to system level model updatesRole Specific Skills & Competencies
•Experience with Creo 10 or higher
•Proficient in Pro Cable
•Programming experience using NotePad
•Component, Assembly, Subsystem, and System Modeling
•Use of advanced mathematics techniques for part fitment and design feasibility
•Experience with defining welding, GD&T, Tolerancing, material specifications and finishes within drawings and models
•Parametric Design and programming
•Collaboration with Engineers and internal customers
•Live Otis Absolutes & foster Inclusion & engagement.
•Works at pace with multi deliverables.
•E3 Zuken Wiring Diagrams
•Work independently with minimal oversite and still deliver to target
•Collaborate efficiently with engineers
•Effectively interpret engineering markups to convey design intent into 3D models and drawings

•Good interpersonal Skills

Project Overview Power/Analog test, analysis, and design support.

Position Overview Perform analysis, simulation, test, and design engineering support for circuit card assemblies, in the power, analog, and/or motor controls domains.

Key deliverables for this role Well documented analyses. Functional, tested circuit cards. Electrical schematics. Simulation results.

What does success look like for this role
Completing assigned tasks on time, and identifying lingering technical risks Required and Desired Qualifications Core Technical Skills (Non negotiables)
Analog electronics
Power electronics and/or motor control electronics
Simulation skills
Documenting technical work
PCB design experience.

Desired Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience specifically with Saber modelling tool
Experience specifically with Mentor schematic capture tools
