Summary:

Design and develop embedded flight software and mission algorithms.

Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting across the development lifecycle.

Contribute to software architecture and participate in trade studies and analysis.

Support system-level integration and validation in Software- and Hardware-in-the-Loop environments.

Collaborate in cross-functional Agile Scrum teams and engage in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning.

Deliver production-quality software aligned with mission objectives and customer requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and typically 6+ years of relevant experience (Higher degrees may substitute for experience; equivalent experience may substitute for degree.)

Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design.

Hands-on experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks).

Familiarity with Computer-Aided Engineering tools and engineering best practices.

Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Desired Skills:

Expertise in socket programming (TCP/UDP) and client-server application development.

Experience with PUB/SUB messaging patterns and distributed systems.

Familiarity with open standards: CCSDS, C2MS, OMS, UCI.

Experience in spacecraft flight software, mission management, or payload control.

Demonstrated leadership in software development projects.

Proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodology and associated tools.

Experience using software tools for code reviews, static analysis, CI/CD, and version control (Git, SVN).

Knowledge of software design patterns and modeling with SysML/UML.

Experience in both SITL and HITL testing environments.

Experience with embedded programming and board bring-up.

Familiarity with Linux environments and network configuration (e.g., netconf).

Skills in performance optimization and timing-critical systems.

Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and IT compliance.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements:

10 years of relevant professional experience.

Extensive hands-on experience developing software using LabVIEW, including LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW Real-Time, specifically for test and measurement applications.

Proficiency with a wide range of test and measurement equipment, both NI and non-NI (e.g., power supplies, DAQ systems (AI/AO/DIO), DMMs, switches, and relays).

Familiarity with communication protocols such as VISA, TCP, and RS-232/422.

Experience working within Linux OS environments.

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

NI LabVIEW Certified Developer or Certified Architect.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply logical thinking and creativity to enhance or troubleshoot software systems.
