Contract Employment Weekly Magazine (printed) -- C.E. Weekly is published every Wednesday. Its primary purpose is to furnish subscribers with information about immediate and anticipated contract job openings throughout the United States, Canada and overseas. C.E. Weekly also includes editorials, letters, and articles of interest to those working in the contract employment industry. Hundreds of contract staffing firm offices advertise in C.E. Weekly each week. This is more contract staffing offices than appear in any other similar publication in the world. Most jobs appearing in C.E. Weekly are for short and/or long term contract (temporary) assignments. They usually offer higher pay rates than similar direct (captive) positions. There should never be a fee to apply for or accept any of the jobs advertised in C.E. Weekly or on CJHunter. Free Email Box -- This service is free, as long as your keep your CJHunter or C.E. Weekly subscription current. Restrictions: Any single document (either sent or received) cannot exceed 500K in size; the total amount of space allotted to any subscriber is 5 megabytes; you may select your own personal email address. Online Directory of Contract Staffing Firms -- A Directory of Contract Staffing Firms is compiled by C.E. Publications each year and appears on our website in a searchable, downloadable format. Searches may be made on firm name, location, or industry served. Subscribers can 1-click submit their online resume to all (or selected) firms in their search results. A printable "compacted" version of their search results is also available to subscribers.
Searchable Jobs Database -- Every job opening that is published in the current edition of C.E. Weekly (both display ads and JobLines) is included in a database that can be searched by keywords, job location, and posting date.
EZjobs Service -- Subscribers with an email address can have our computer search each day’s new job postings for openings that match their pre-set keywords. Then, at the end of the day, those listings will be emailed to the subscriber complete with the name of the recruiting firm, contact information, and all the data in our files about each job.
Online Resume Database -- Subscribers can enter, view, edit and replace their resume in our online database. Their resume is then available to C.E. Weekly and ContractJobHunter advertisers on our website along with the most recent ten weeks’ Hot Sheets. (See Hot Sheet and Online Resume paragraphs for more details). Both ASCII text and formatted resumes are accepted.
E-Resume -- This is a very simple service to use and can save a considerable amount of time whenever a subscriber does a job search of our database. With E-Resume, all subscribers need to do is check a box for every firm to whom they wish their resume emailed, then click a single submit button. Their online resume will be automatically emailed to all selected contract firms, with an attached memo stating the specific job posting to which the subscriber is responding. You will also be able to review and edit your online resume before submitting it.
Daily Resume Distribution -- When a subscriber first enters a resume into our online database, that resume can be emailed to all current ContractJobHunter and C.E. Weekly advertisers (at the subscriber’s option). Firms can choose to receive all new resumes, submit keywords to receive only selected resumes, or receive no resumes at all. Every time that resume is updated online, it can once again be emailed to the firms. Subscribers can opt out of this service if they are just updating their resume or not currently available for a new assignment. Resumes are emailed at the end of each day.
Resume View Alert -- Every time a subscriber's online resume is viewed, downloaded or printed by a contract staffing firm...we immediately email that subscriber a notification. Included in the email is the name of the firm, the recruiter's name (if known), and contact information. Keep in mind that we must have your current email address on file in order for you to participate in this service.
Subscribers' Message Board -- Subscribers can leave messages and questions for other subscribers on this board. Discussed subjects have included: Insurance for contractors...overtime on full rate... pre-employment drug testing...and lots of contractors looking for old friends.
Contractor Chat Room -- A live chat room to visit with friends, other contractors, recruiters, and even C.E. Publications staff members who visit from time to time.
Online Resumes -- C.E. Publications maintains an online resume database for our subscribers. That database is available to all 500+ regular ContractJobHunter and C.E. Weekly advertisers. Contract staffing firms recruiters can search resumes by keyword(s) and instantly view, print or download them. Subscribers can also view, edit and upload their own resumes online. Both text and formatted resumes are stored, as well as an Online Profile. Resubscriber to keep your online resume current. Only ContractJobHunter and C.E. Weekly subscribers can add their resume to our searchable resume database.
There are several methods that subscribers can use to enter their resume into the online database:
Online Profile -- Every day, recruiters do hundreds of searches of our resume database. Whenever that happens, a recruiter usually locates many resumes that match their keyword search. Often, the individuals whose resumes they retrieve have certain requirements that do not generally appear on their resumes. For example: Are you currently available, or are you working now and won't be available for a couple of months?…What is the minimum rate you will accept? …Where would you prefer to work?…Will you consider direct positions, or only contract?…How do you want to work, W2 or 1099? …etc. Your personal profile allows you to make that information available to recruiters. And, above all, keep your profile current!…especially the status of your availability. This service will only be as effective as the effort devoted to it by our subscribers. As long as the majority of our subscribers maintain their Online Profile, and keep the information current, this should be a very beneficial service to both subscribers and recruiters. Online Profile

Monthly Regional Resume Distribution -- On the last Friday of the month, we email a package of subscriber resumes to all firms that are in our current Directory of Contract Staffing Firms. Subscribers can furnish resumes to us via email, floppy disk, or request that we pull their latest resume from our online resume database. Deadline: 3:00 p.m., one day prior to the last Friday of the month. (Pacific Time). Resumes are emailed to all of our Directory advertisers in any of these regions: West, Central, Northeast, Southeast, or Foreign (Canada and Overseas).
Cost -- $5 per region. States included in each region
Resume Email Service -- If your resume is in our online database, but you don't have access to our website, we can instantly email it to any potential employer. Just give us the name of the company, the recruiter's name, and their email address. We will transmit your online resume…while you are on the phone, if you call us!
Cost -- $2.00 per resume emailed. A minimum deposit of $10 is required if you wish to use this service.
Resume Email Forwarding History -- Subscribers can track their resume forwarding history to see when and to whom their online resume has been emailed from our website. View your resume email history
Resume Fax Service -- Have you ever been in a situation where a potential employer needed your resume immediately to submit for an assignment? But, your computer is still packed in a box somewhere in your brother's garage. And, the nearest public library, post office, or Kinko's is nearly 100 miles away. Your only contact with the outside world is the telephone in your motel room. How do you get your resume in the hands of the recruiter by tomorrow morning, so you can land that lucrative job? You can use our Resume Fax Service to immediately transmit your resume to any contract firm in the country. All we need is a reproducible copy of your resume, along with a deposit. Sorry, but we will not accept collect calls for this service from either the contract firm or the participating subscriber.
Cost -- If you request that we FAX your resume to a firm, your account will be charged $2.00 per page of your resume. This includes the cost of C.E. placing (and paying for) the phone call to the contract firm. In other words, if you have a 2-page resume, it would cost you $4.00 to have us FAX it to a contract firm. Overnight mail would cost more than twice that amount, and your resume wouldn't arrive until the next day! A minimum deposit of $10.00 is required if you wish to use this service. Resume Typing Service -- Let us type your resume on our professional typesetting equipment (variety of type styles, justified margins, etc.) We will furnish you with a laser-printed copy and a floppy disk with both plain-text and MS Word versions of your resume.
Cost -- $25.00 per page (based on 10 point type, 8-1/2" x 11" page size).
Resume Printing Service -- We can print copies of your resume (original can be furnished by you or typeset by us with our Resume Typing Service). Your resume will be printed on quality white bond paper on 1 side of each sheet of paper unless otherwise requested. Prices include printing on 8-1/2" x 11" paper plus postage via 1st class mail (cost of mailing resumes back to you).
Cost -- 50 copies: $15.00/side, 100 copies: $20.00/side, additional 100’s: $10.00/side.
Hot Sheet of Available Contract Personnel -- For unemployed subscribers (or those with layoff notices), we email your name, address, phone, email address, Resume ID number and job classifications(s) to hundreds of contract staffing firms who advertise in Contract Employment Weekly, our current Directory of Contract Staffing Firms, and ContractJobHunter.com. This information is also searchable online by our advertisers for 10 weeks. One free HotSheet Listing per subscriber per calendar month. Mini-Ad Listing -- If you are presently working, or you want more comprehensive coverage than a once-a-month free listing...you can pay to have a "Mini-Ad" on our "Hot Sheet." Cost -- Hot Sheet Listings are free. Mini-Ads are $5.00 per insertion (maximum of 150 letters, spaces, etc. for job classification on all listings).
Weekly Log -- If you are actively seeking contract assignments you can have an ad published in the Weekly Log column of C.E. Weekly and on ContractJobHunter.com. Anyone, knowing of a position for which one of these subscribers might qualify, can then contact him or her at the address/phone number/email address given in the ad. This is one more way to let the industry know who you are and what you can do...now! To place your ad in the Weekly Log, include the wording (and contact information) you would like in your ad and we will typeset and publish it in the next issue of C.E. Weekly (and post it on our website). Your ad can have a maximum of 5 lines of type, 40 letters, spaces, etc., per line.
Cost -- $15/one insertion; $13/per insertion for 3 consecutive identical insertions; $10/per insertion for 12 or more consecutive identical insertions.

C.E. Locator Service -- This is a phone number that contract staffing firms can call to locate a subscriber (when they don't have current contact information for that person). Subscribers are permitted to list the phone number on their resumes as a permanent contact. The C.E. Locator phone number makes this a perfect way to always be accessible by contract staffing firms. As long as you are a ContractJobHunter or C.E. Weekly subscriber, we have your current phone number and mailing address, and you allow us to release that information to contract firms…we will pass it along to any recruiter that calls our Locator Number and asks for you specifically by name.
